Frederikke Jensen

Copenhagen-based sports photographer Frederikke Hejbøl Jensen has spent the past eight years developing a sharp and emotionally driven approach to one of the world's most photographed sports: football.
Football photography, to me, is about more than the game. It's the emotion, the atmosphere, and the moments that make people feel like they were there.
My mum's Nikon D3100 was the first camera I ever held. Nikon has been part of every step since then, and that means something to me.
Frederikke's relationship with Nikon stretches back to the very beginning of her photography journey. Her first camera was her mother's Nikon D3100, a detail that speaks to how naturally Nikon became part of her creative development. When she saved enough to invest in her own equipment, she chose the Nikon D7200, a deliberate decision that reflected both her growing ambition and her trust in the system she had already come to know. Over time, her kit has evolved considerably to meet the demands of professional sports photography. She now shoots with the Nikon Z9, Z8, and Z6III, alongside the Nikon Z f, and works with a range of Nikkor Z lenses including the 400mm f/2.8 TC, the 70-200mm f/2.8, and the 24-70mm f/2.8. For moments requiring a different perspective, she also reaches for the Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.2 and the compact 40mm f/2. The Nikon Z series gives her the speed, reliability, and image quality needed to work in the unpredictable, high-intensity environments that define her subject matter.
